We are so thrilled to have hosted #ourfirstwedding. It was a magical day from start to finish and one we will never forget.

Preparations for the big day started in 2017 when Amy & Josh came to visit us, and after seeing the estate and the facilities we could offer, decided to book.

Fast forward to July 2018, and after a lot of planning, plotting and preparing, everything came together.  Set up began early on Tuesday 24th July when our friends from Wells & Son Marquees Ltd arrived to construct the marquee, fit for 140 guests.

Throughout the remainder of the week the estate was transformed. The marquee interior was turned into a rustic palace:

St Oswalds church was beautifully decorated with summery flowers from ‘Flowers by Fiona’.

An outdoor bar area was created, complete with straw bales for seating, rustic tables and an awesome cocktail caravan from Coronation Bars.

The sheep field was converted into a tented village, courtesy of Wild at Heart Tipis, for the bride & groom and guests to stay the night.

Amazing rustic decorations, all made by Amy, were stationed around the estate to add to the romantic ambience, and she even made her own games to entertain the kids! Huge ‘LOVE’ letters by Mary May Occasions were added to the dancefloor inside the marquee for extra sparkle.

Just as important as all the beautiful details were parking and amenities. Our large farm yard provided the perfect space for guest parking, and high quality amenities were installed by Lincs Loos. Our yard and outbuildings also provided a rustic, quirky backdrop for photos!

On Saturday 28th July the big day arrived. After two months of hot dry weather, the threat of a storm was on the horizon.

Thankfully the weather didn’t manage spoil anything and the whole day was a fantastic celebration of love, happiness and romance.

Of course, no wedding would be complete without the help of lots of lovely suppliers. We’d therefore like to give a special thanks to everyone who was involved in pulling this fabulous wedding together.

The whole day was absolutely brilliant from start to finish and we wish Amy & Josh all the best in their married life together!
